Why We Started Raw Organic Clothing

🌿 Why We Started Raw Organic Clothing

(and what we couldn’t find anywhere else)

There’s something about this time of year that invites a reset.

The air feels a little lighter. The days stretch a bit longer. Windows open, routines shift, and you start to notice the small things in your home again. What’s working, what’s not, and what you might want to do differently.

For us, that kind of reset didn’t start with a season.
It started with our kids.

With six kids ranging from 3 to 14, we’ve walked through many seasons of learning. What worked for one didn’t always work for another. One child reacted to certain fabrics, another to soaps, another to fragrances we didn’t think twice about at the time.

Like many families, we weren’t trying to overhaul everything overnight. We were simply trying to solve what was right in front of us.

Sensitive skin.
Irritation we couldn’t explain.
Clothes that looked soft but didn’t feel right after a full day of wear.

We remember taking clothes off at the end of the day and wondering why their skin still looked irritated when everything we chose was supposed to be gentle.

So we started small.

We changed our laundry detergent.
We removed fabric softeners.
We chose unscented products.

And when that still didn’t fully solve it, we started looking closer at something we hadn’t thought much about before. The fabrics our kids were wearing every single day.

It Started With One Simple Shift

We didn’t switch everything at once.

With a family our size, that wasn’t realistic, and it wouldn’t have felt right for us anyway.

Instead, we began where we could.

When the kids outgrew something, we replaced it with organic cotton, 100% cotton, or other natural fabrics like wool. It wasn’t about replacing everything at once. It was about choosing differently when we needed to buy something anyway.

One piece at a time.
One season at a time.

And slowly, we started to notice a difference.

Not overnight.
Not perfectly.
But enough to keep going.

That’s when everything began to shift. Not just what we were buying, but how we were thinking.

The Part That Felt Harder Than It Should Be

As we leaned into more intentional choices, we kept running into the same problem.

We couldn’t find everything we were looking for in one place.

One brand had organic basics but limited sizes.
Another focused on babies but not older kids.
Some felt trustworthy, while others left us questioning materials, sourcing, or quality.

We found ourselves piecing things together across different shops, with tabs open everywhere, trying to make the best decision each time.

It felt like we were doing everything right, but still second guessing it.

It was time consuming.
Sometimes overwhelming.
And it made something simple feel harder than it needed to be.

We remember thinking,
There has to be an easier way to do this.

Why We Created Raw Organic Clothing

We didn’t start this as a business idea.

We started it as a solution we wished existed.

A place where families like ours could come and not have to overthink every choice.

Every piece we carry is something we would feel good bringing into our own home. Something we’ve taken the time to understand. Something that supports the kind of environment we are trying to create for our family.

Safe.
Simple.
Intentional.

Not perfect. Just better, step by step.

What Made Us Look Beyond Clothing

At some point, it stopped being just about clothing.

Clothing was where our journey began, but it didn’t stay there.

With each of our kids, we learned something new. Not just about clothing, but about what touches their skin and fills their space every day. It wasn’t only what they wore, but what we washed it in, what we used during bath time, and even the scents in our home.

Once you start paying attention to those things, it’s hard to ignore them.

What are they sleeping on?
What are we using in the bath?
What are in the snacks they eat each day?

We realized this wasn’t just about clothing. It was about creating a home that felt aligned with how we wanted to live.

Calmer.
Cleaner.
More thoughtful.

That’s what continues to guide us as we grow.

Progress Over Perfection

If there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s this.

You don’t have to change everything to make a meaningful difference.

We didn’t.
We still don’t.

There are still areas where we choose convenience.
Still moments where life moves too fast to overthink every decision.

But the small shifts add up.

Over time, they create a home that feels different in the best way.

A Slower, More Intentional Way Forward

This space was built for families who are figuring it out as they go, just like we are.

Families who want better options but don’t want to feel overwhelmed getting there. Families who care about what they bring into their homes, even if they are taking it one step at a time.

If you’ve ever found yourself starting small and learning as you go, you’re not alone in it.
